How to write a summary

Writing tips:
• Use short sentences.
• Use connectors (then, first, so, later, to sum up...)
• Use previously-known vocabulary.
• Always use the same tense.
• The text must follow an order:
a) Introductory sentence or paragraph.
b) Body: we write the main ideas.
c) Final conclusion or summing up.

And please, use a dictionay, not a translator; they are disastrous.

Nasreddin was poor. His neighbour said he was silly. Nasreddin gave (had) a party. He asked his neighbour if he had a pot... and Nasreddin gave back two. The pot had babies! Nasreddin gave (had) another party. He didn't give the pots back. He said to his neighbour that they were dead. He taught him a lesson.

Tilly was from Britain. She went with her family to Thailand. At the beach the ocean moved a lot. Tilly said (that) it was a tsunami. Everybody ran to the hotel. All were safe thanks to Tilly. Tilly received an award in London. Her teachers were proud of her.
