I hope you'll enjoy my 'little English spot' here. 'The language around the corner' is a blog dedicated to one of the most beautiful languages in the world. Its history, literature and culture in general will be present here. Remember that most blogs are always under construction, so do not despair... 'Surf' the blog and find interesting facts, songs, videos, games, recipes, etc.

Why the name? Well, it is a 'homage' to a lovely film from the 1940's starring James Stewart: 'The shop around the corner' (watch the official trailer) It also has to do with the fact that the English language has spread worldwide and it is a tool we can use everywhere... around the corner...
